Iqbal uses drawing, painting and collage to create works where surprise and color play a main role. Aklima Iqbals work is about constructing and deconstructing forms and structures of our daily live, striving to strip them from ideology. Action is an important element of her art, which helps her to distance from the technical perfectionism she was taught during art studies in her country-of-origin Bangladesh. The artist is led by a sensitive intuition and curiosity for human communication and interpersonal behavior.
