Markus Orsini-Rosenberg (*1961) malt nackte Natur für das nackte Auge. Die Natur bietet ihm im doppelten Sinne den Grund seiner Malerei: die Leinwand und der Keilrahmen sind selbst aus gewachsenen Naturmaterialien, wie auch die aufwendige Grundierung.
Der Kärntner, der einst bei Maria Lassnig Malerei studierte, beschäftigt sich schon lange mit traditionellen Maltechniken. In zahllosen Strichen und Stunden bringt er die Ölfarbe auf die Leinwand auf, die in einem natürlichen Oxidationsprozess erst ihre beständige Leuchtkraft entwickelt. Die Natur ist dem Kärntner Maler Kraftquelle, Herausforderung und ein sich dauernd veränderndes Motiv, dass so nie ihren Reiz verliert.

The Carinthian, who once studied painting with Maria Lassnig, has long been engaged in traditional painting techniques.
