Hubert Lobnig

Geboren 1962 in Völkermarkt. Studierte an der Hochschule für angewandte Kunst in Wien. Schwerpunkte der künstlerischen Arbeit: Malerei, Zeichnung, Video, Fotografie sowie kontext- und ortsbezogene Projekte und Installationen im öffentlichen Raum (oft gemeinsam mit Iris Andraschek). 1997 Gründung von Tigerpark, einer Plattform für künstlerische und kuratorische Projekte. Lebt und arbeitet in Wien und Mödring (Niederösterreich). Ist Mitglied der NGBK (Neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst Berlin) und der Wiener Secession.

Born 1962 in Völkermarkt, Austria. Graduated from the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. His art focuses on painting, drawing, video, photography, and installations in public spaces. Many of his site-specific and process-oriented public art projects were conceived and directed in collaboration with Iris Andraschek. In 1997, he founded Tigerpark, a not-for-profit space and platform for artistic and curatorial projects. Lives in Vienna and Mödring (Lower Austria). He is a member of NGBK (Neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst Berlin) and Secession, Vienna.
